Bio

Klara Rabl is a freelance writer and director living and working in Vienna. She has a background in classical theatre and focuses on projects in the experimental performative field often merging several artistic disciplines to create new theatrical experiences. Previous projects such as the immersive social media series „Seestadt-Saga“ (AT 2017/18) and the cyberfeminist film intervention „Feed the Troll“ (AT 2020/21) focus on digital communities and hacktivism. FTT won the Content Vienna Award, was nominated for the „Fernsehpreis für Erwachsenenbildung“ and Klara Rabl was invited to re:publica 2022. In 2022 she directed „Das Zigarettenreich” (AT), then created the immersive theater film “LÖSS” (opening production of LOESS IS MORE Festival) working closely with the local community in Großriedenthal (AT). Since 2018 Klara Rabl has been working on the Austrian Late Night Show „Willkommen Österreich“ and resumed her Japanese language studies in 2022.
