Klara Rabl is a freelance writer and director living and working in Vienna. She has a background in classical theater and often merges several artistic disciplines to create new theatrical experiences.
Previous projects such as the immersive social media series „Seestadt-Saga“ (AT, 2017/18) and the cyberfeminist theater film „Feed the Troll“ (AT, 2020/21) focused on digital communities and hacktivism. “Feed the Troll” won the Content Vienna Award, was nominated for the “Television Award for Adult Education” and Klara Rabl was invited as a speaker to re:publica (DE, 2022).
In 2022 she directed „Das Zigarettenreich” (AT, 2022), also wrote and directed the immersive theater film “LÖSS” (opening production of LOESS IS MORE Festival) working closely with the local community in Großriedenthal. Her innovative range expanded further with the music video “Wie es ist” for the austrian band Bipolar Feminin (2023). Her treatment for the theater body horror feature film “Kill Your Darlings” won the SLASH Campfire Tales 2024.
Klara Rabl continues to evolve as a multifaceted artist, consistently blending genres and art forms to enhance interdisciplinary insight, and social relevance in her work.
